Lynx Technologies has complemented its infrastructure solutions offerings with innovative performance solutions from Fusion-io.
Fusion-io is broadly regarded as the innovative market-leader in cost-effective server based solid-state storage solutions to the many varied performance issues, answering the need to process more data more quickly using limited energy resources. The key server vendors (HP, IBM and Dell) having taken on the Fusion-io portfolio is proof positive of the proposition and positioning.
It’s a logical and powerful extension to Lynx’s portfolio that will enable our partners to take cost effective and powerful application specific infrastructure solutions to their clients. The applicability spans a broad variety of applications such as:
- IO intensive applications including virtualised servers, VDI and data-base applications
- Latency sensitive applications such as web and search
- Bandwidth dependent applications such as multimedia
The ability to provide the full suite of Fusion-io offerings will enable Lynx to provide a complementary approach to the vendors, by providing products such as ioTurbine that enables the ioMemory to be used as caching for VMWare’s ESX. In addition, Lynx can provide solutions that as yet have not been incorporated into the Vendors’ portfolios.
Fusion-io will further enhance Lynx’s ability to arm its Reseller partners with the ability to have meaningful site-specific discussions with their clients, and back them up with powerful and cost-effective solutions.
