Data Protector Express Basic 6.0 and Acronis perform complementary roles. Combined they provide complete data and system protection for single servers.

- File Level Backup to tape (for archival purposes)
- Off-site copies protect against site disasters
- Provides the ability to restore deleted or older versions of files / directories
Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 (OEM)
- System and File Recovery from tape or disk
- Quick system recovery from server or disk failures
- Quick restores of recently deleted or corrupted files / directories.

Upgrade to the full version of Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server with Universal Restore (with a saving of 30% on the standard full version):
- To run efficient periodic incremental backups (to limit the amount of changed data at risk).
- To restore via a catalogue / index (just as you do with a backup application).
- To be able to restore the system within minutes to different hardware.
